AFLE Honors presented by CITIZEN 2026 crowns the best of the inaugural season
The votes are in. Across eleven categories, the best athletes and coaches of the American Football League Europe’s inaugural season have been crowned at the AFLE Honors, presented by CITIZEN. Determined by a panel of team captains, media representatives, head coaches and AFLE officials, each contributing 25 percent of the final vote, here are the winners.

Most Improved Offensive Player of the Year: Bais Kouanda, Berlin Thunder
Most Improved Defensive Player of the Year: Diego Paz, Rhein Fire
Special Teams Player of the Year: Brandon Belgrave, Firenze Red Lions
Homegrown of the Year: Kevin Kaya, Alpine Rams
Offensive Lineman of the Year: Sven Breidenbach, Rhein Fire
Offensive Player of the Year: Jon Cole, Berlin Thunder
Defensive Player of the Year: Nazir Streater, Rhein Fire
Youngster of the Year: Noel Swancar, Vienna Vikings
Assistant Coach of the Year: Jordan Neuman, Vienna Vikings
Coach of the Year: Chris Calaycay, Vienna Vikings
Most Valuable Player: Jameson Wang, Panthers Wroclaw
Every winner received not only their award but also a watch from presenting partner CITIZEN and a personalized trading card, a fitting tribute to the athletes and coaches who defined the first chapter of American Football League Europe history. Congratulations to all eleven honorees.
