Alpine Rams sign American defensive back Braden Price
The Alpine Rams have confirmed the signing of their final American player, defensive back Braden Price. The addition of Price also brings clarity to the roster structure, with Devan Burrell now set to line up primarily on offense following Price’s arrival.
A proven Division I defensive back
Price spent his college career at Illinois State and Rhode Island, developing into one of the most experienced defensive backs in the CAA conference. Across more than 25 career starts at cornerback, safety and dime, he recorded 55 tackles in 2024 alone and earned Phil Steele All-CAA Football Fifth Team recognition. He was also part of the Rhode Island team that won the CAA Conference championship in 2024, adding a title to his impressive college resume. His talent further caught the attention of the NFL, earning him a rookie minicamp invitation from the Miami Dolphins in 2025.
Adding flexibility to the Rams defense
With Price now on board, the Alpine Rams have plenty of options in their defensive backfield. Head coach Joshua Fitzgerald can line up Price as the primary defensive back, deploy both Price and Burrell together in the secondary, or mix things up by pairing Price with pass rusher DeMarco Artis. That kind of flexibility and creativity gives the Rams a versatile and unpredictable defensive unit heading into the 2026 season.
With Price confirmed, the Alpine Rams have completed their American roster and are ready to compete in their debut AFLE season.
