Alpine Rams strengthen offense with wide receiver Gregorio Calonego

The Alpine Rams have added another homegrown player to their roster, signing wide receiver Gregorio Calonego ahead of the 2026 season. Calonego joins from the Helvetic Mercenaries, where he spent the last three seasons developing his game.

A player on the rise

Calonego spent his first two seasons with the Mercenaries primarily in a backup role, learning the game and waiting for his opportunity. That patience paid off in his third season, when he began to earn more targets and make a greater impact on the offense. It is that upward trajectory that made him an attractive signing for the Alpine Rams.

Building his numbers

Across 19 games over three seasons, Calonego recorded 23 catches for 137 yards. While those numbers reflect his time as a backup, his growth in the final season points to a player who is ready to take on a bigger role and show what he is capable of at a higher level.

With Calonego on board, the Alpine Rams continue to build out their offensive weapons ahead of the 2026 season.
