American Football League Europe Names DMC Production Germany as International TV Production Partner 2026
The American Football League Europe (AFLE) has appointed DMC Production Germany to produce international TV world feed for the inaugural 2026 season.
The partnership ensures a consistently high production quality across the entire season and establishes a flexible, scalable, and sustainable production model tailored to the requirements of a pan-European league.
With this collaboration, AFLE underlines its commitment to building professional structures across every area of league operations — from sporting and financial foundations to international broadcast standards. The aim is to deliver a premium live viewing experience to fans, media partners, and the international football community right from the league’s launch season.
„The AFLE 2026 season marks an important milestone for the future of European sports production. With our scalable production approach and the intelligent integration of remote and on-site workflows, we are shaping a new generation of live broadcasts – consistently high in quality, efficient, and future-oriented,“ said Holger Enßlin, Managing Director of DMC Production Germany GmbH.
AFLE Managing Director and COO Moritz Heisler emphasized the importance of the partnership for the league’s broadcast ambitions:
„From day one, we made a commitment to produce our games at the highest possible level. Partnering with DMC Production Germany is a direct expression of that commitment. With a multi-camera setup that captures every angle of the game and a production model built for the scale and complexity of a pan-European league, we are setting a new benchmark for American football on television in Europe. We want every fan watching at home to feel the intensity, the speed, and the quality of what is happening on that field. DMC gives us the tools to do exactly that.“
A European Production Footprint
Throughout the 2026 season, DMC Production Germany will be responsible for the technical and editorial execution of all regular season and playoff games, covering 36 matches across six countries and regions: France, England, Poland, Italy, Switzerland and Austria. Production for the games in Duisburg and Berlin will be handled by an additional specialized production service provider. An initial test match in Vienna has already been successfully completed and was met with very positive feedback.
The world feed is produced fully on-site, based on a 10-camera concept which – alongside standard game cameras – features super slow-motion and wireless gimbal cameras to capture the pace, intensity and tactical depth of American football at the highest international broadcast standard.
Setting a New European Broadcast Standard
The production model has been specifically designed for the demands of a pan-European league and meets the core requirements of modern sports broadcasting: scalability across multiple game days and parallel operations, flexible camera configurations from 5 to 14 cameras per match, a modular and location-independent production architecture, and a high level of cost efficiency combined with consistent broadcast quality. Delivery is provided in 1080i50 with end-to-end uncompressed signal handling, including international full-mix and clean feeds.
Sustainability as a Guiding Principle
In line with AFLE’s broader commitment to building a future-proof league, the production setup actively supports sustainable broadcast standards: travel requirements for production teams are reduced, local crews and technical resources are prioritized, and broadcast infrastructure is used in a centralized and resource-efficient manner. This approach reinforces AFLE’s responsibility to develop European American football not only on a sporting level, but also in terms of operational and environmental sustainability.
