A Home Base for the AFLE Gold Bowl Weekend

As part of the partnership, the Sheraton Hotel in Essen will serve as the official accommodation for teams, referees, officials, and staff throughout the AFLE Gold Bowl weekend, providing a central base for everyone involved in the league’s championship event.

With everyone under one roof, the Sheraton Essen becomes an important organizational pillar of the AFLE Gold Bowl weekend, supporting the smooth running of the league’s biggest event of the season.

A Central Hospitality Partner

Beyond accommodation, Sheraton’s role as central hospitality partner underlines the AFLE’s commitment to a professional, high-quality environment for everyone involved in the league’s first-ever championship weekend, from athletes and officials to staff and partners.

Fabienne Lampe, Head of Communications of the AFLE, said: “Having a partner like Sheraton around our first-ever Gold Bowl means our teams, officials, and staff have a reliable, high-quality home base throughout the weekend. That kind of support behind the scenes is exactly what allows everyone to focus fully on the game itself.”

“American football stands for team spirit, discipline, and passion – values that also play a central role in the hospitality industry. As the Sheraton Essen Hotel, we are delighted to support sports that bring people together and foster a strong sense of community, reflecting our guiding principle:
Sheraton, where the world comes together. American football, in particular, captivates people with its dynamic nature and unique spirit, which is why it continues to attract a growing number of fans and communities in Germany. For us as a hotel, it is a wonderful opportunity to welcome fans, teams, and guests and to provide a place where sports, hospitality, and meaningful connections come together,” said Hotel Manager Alex Fonfe.
