Australian offensive lineman Brendan Oswin signs with the Vienna Vikings

The Vienna Vikings continue building their roster for the upcoming 2026 season in the American Football League Europe. With the signing of Brendan Oswin, the Austrian franchise adds a strong and versatile offensive lineman to its lineup.

Oswin most recently played for the Madrid Bravos, where he impressed with strong performances throughout the season. His consistent play on the offensive line earned him the Offensive Lineman of the Year award, highlighting the quality and impact the Australian player brings to the field.

Proven success across Europe

Before joining Madrid, Oswin already gained experience in several European leagues. He previously played in Germany for the Potsdam Royals and the Rostock Griffins. In Sweden, he suited up for the Uppsala 86ers, further expanding his experience in different football environments.

These stops helped him develop into a reliable and experienced offensive lineman who is capable of contributing at a high level.

High praise from the coaching staff

Vikings Head Coach Chris Calaycay is excited about the addition and believes Oswin will bring valuable quality to the offensive line.

“Brendan Oswin is considered to be one of the best offensive linemen in Europe over the past couple of seasons. His versatility and athleticism jump off the screen when you watch him play. It’s been a long time coming, but I’m excited that we have finally got Brendan to Vienna.”

International experience

Oswin also played in his home country of Australia for the Brisbane Rhinos, where he began his football journey before moving to Europe.

With his international experience and strong performances in recent seasons, Brendan Oswin adds quality, strength, and depth to the Vikings’ offensive line as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
