Bartosz Woch named Week 6 MVP
The community has voted and Sunday’s top performer is Panthers Wroclaw homegrown running back Bartosz Woch, who takes home the Week 6 MVP award ahead of a strong performance from Rhein Fire defensive back Nazir Streater.
Depth that makes the difference
Woch is part of one of the most impressive running back trios in the league, and Week 6 showed exactly what he is capable of when given the opportunity. With the Panthers building a commanding lead against the Firenze Red Lions, starter Dawid Brzozowski was able to rest early and the rotational players got their chance. Woch and fellow back Kamil Kotlarz stepped up and made the most of it.
10.91 yards every single time
The numbers from Woch’s afternoon were remarkable. On just 11 carries he ran for 120 yards and a touchdown, giving him an average of 10.91 yards per carry. In simple terms, that means every single time Woch touched the ball, a first down was guaranteed. That kind of efficiency is extraordinary at any level of football.
A luxury the Panthers can count on
It is a well-deserved recognition for a player who does his job without any fuss and delivers when his number is called. The Panthers running back room is one of the deepest in the AFLE and Woch’s Week 6 performance was a reminder that the depth goes all the way through. In a squad built to compete for a championship, knowing that your third running back can produce a 10.91 yards per carry afternoon off the bench is exactly the kind of luxury that makes the Panthers such a difficult team to face.
