Berlin Thunder strengthen defensive front with British lineman Michael Keshinro
The Berlin Thunder have found their next defensive addition, signing British defensive end Michael Keshinro. Keshinro brings a wealth of experience from across the globe and arrives as one of the most productive pass rushers to join the AFLE this season.
Experience across multiple leagues and countries
Keshinro has built his career across a variety of leagues and countries, gaining experience in the German Football League, the Spanish league with the Coslada Camineros and in European competition with the Hamburg Sea Devils. With the Sea Devils he recorded 25 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in just seven games, numbers that underline his ability to disrupt opposing offenses on a consistent basis.
Dominant performances in China
In 2025 Keshinro took his game to China, signing with the Shanghai Wolves and delivering one of the most impressive individual stat lines of his career. Across eight games he recorded an extraordinary 43 tackles, 15.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss and six forced fumbles, even returning a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Those numbers speak for themselves and mark him as a player capable of taking over a game on his own.
A key role at the Thunder
At the Berlin Thunder, Keshinro steps into an important import role on the defensive line and is expected to bring that same level of intensity and production to the team. With his combination of experience, versatility and proven playmaking ability, the Thunder have added a serious weapon to their defensive front ahead of the 2026 season.
