British defensive lineman Lambert Jaden Ondoua strengthens Firenze Red Lions defense

The Firenze Red Lions continue to add talent to their roster, signing young British defensive lineman Lambert Jaden Ondoua ahead of the 2026 season. Despite his relatively short time in the sport, Ondoua has already made a significant impression at multiple levels of the game.

Experience on both sides of the Atlantic

Ondoua has gained experience in both the United Kingdom and North America during his young career. He most recently played for the Portsmouth Destroyers in the UK before crossing the Atlantic to line up for the Vancouver Island Raiders in the Canadian Junior Football League. That willingness to seek out new challenges and compete in different environments speaks to the ambition and drive that the Red Lions are getting in this signing.

A national team player in the making

Perhaps the most impressive part of Ondoua’s story is how quickly he has progressed in the sport. Despite not having played football for long, he has already earned his place in the United Kingdom national team, a remarkable achievement that highlights his natural talent and the rapid rate of his development.

With Ondoua on board, the Firenze Red Lions add a young and hungry talent to their defensive line with plenty of room still to grow ahead of the 2026 season.
