Defensive back Chad Walrond joins the Alpine Rams

The Alpine Rams continue to move forward with their roster planning by signing British defensive back Chad Walrond. The Swiss franchise adds an experienced defender who has made a strong name for himself in the European League of Football over the past four seasons.

Walrond brings consistency, physicality, and leadership to the Rams’ defense.

Proven production in the ELF

During his ELF career, Walrond appeared in 37 games and delivered impressive numbers. He recorded 164 tackles, one sack, 10 tackles for loss, six interceptions, six pass deflections, one forced fumble, and two fumble returns.

These statistics highlight his versatility and his ability to impact the game in multiple ways.

Playoff experience in recent seasons

Over the past two seasons, Walrond played first for the Stuttgart Surge and later for Nordic Storm. With both teams, he reached the semifinals but fell short of the championship game on each occasion.

This playoff experience adds valuable knowledge and competitiveness to the Alpine Rams roster.

A leader in a new environment

Now, Walrond begins a new chapter with the Alpine Rams in The League Europe. In a new environment and with new teammates, he is ready to take the next step and compete at the highest level.

He is expected to play a key role in the Rams’ defensive backfield and to be one of the leaders on the field as the franchise prepares for the upcoming season.
