Double power – Rhein Fire sign the Scott brothers
Rhein Fire have added double strength to their offense by signing brothers Jonathan Scott and Desean Scott. The two Panamanian players are ready to cause serious problems for opposing defenses in the upcoming season.
With this move, the Fire aim to make their offense more versatile and even more dangerous.
Jonathan Scott returns to Rhein Fire
Jonathan Scott is already a familiar face in the Fire organization. He played for Rhein Fire last season and proved his value as a running back.
In twelve regular season games, he carried the ball 121 times for 729 rushing yards. This equals an average of more than six yards per carry. He also scored seven rushing touchdowns.
Scott was not only effective on the ground. As a receiver, he caught 24 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns. His ability to contribute in both the running and passing game made him an important part of the offense.
Desean Scott strengthens the receiving corps
Now, Jonathan is joined by his brother Desean Scott, who will add quality to the wide receiver group.
Desean played in 2025 for the Mexican college team Universidad del Valle de México (UVM). During that season, he recorded 57 catches for 791 yards and 11 touchdowns. His performances showed strong scoring ability and solid technical skills as a receiver.
With Desean’s arrival, the Fire offense gains another reliable target and deep threat.

Strong words from the front office
Rhein Fire General Manager Christoph Lörcks shared his thoughts on the signings:
“Jonathan showed in his first season how valuable he is for our offense – with explosiveness, versatility, and reliability. With Desean, we gain a receiver with clear scoring qualities and very good training.”
A more dangerous offense
By signing the Scott brothers, Rhein Fire add talent, speed, and flexibility to their offensive unit. Together, Jonathan and Desean bring a mix of power running and strong receiving skills.
The Fire hope that this “double Scott power” will play a key role in the team’s success in the upcoming season.
