Homegrown defensive lineman Randy Abandzounou joins Paris Lights

The Paris Lights continue to strengthen their defense as they prepare for the upcoming season. With the signing of Randy Abandzounou, the franchise adds another player who brings both experience and quality to the defensive line.

Abandzounou has spent the last four years playing in the European League of Football (ELF), where he gained valuable experience against strong competition across Europe.

Experience from several ELF teams

During his time in the ELF, Abandzounou played for the Istanbul Rams in the 2022 season before joining the Paris Musketeers, where he spent the following three seasons.

Across those four years, he appeared in 24 games and made a noticeable impact on defense. In total, he recorded 23 tackles, five sacks, 5.5 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles.

Strengthening the defensive front

With his experience and ability to pressure the quarterback, Abandzounou adds depth and strength to the Paris defensive front. His knowledge of the European football landscape and his physical style of play are expected to be valuable assets for the Lights.

As the roster continues to take shape, the addition of Randy Abandzounou marks another important step for the Paris Lights as they build their team for the upcoming season.
