London Warriors sign former college offensive tackle James Faminu
The London Warriors have made a strong addition to their offensive line, signing former college offensive tackle James Faminu. Faminu brings a unique story and genuine college pedigree to the Warriors ahead of their inaugural AFLE season.
A journey that started in London
Faminu’s path to professional football began in his home city. A former rugby player, he made the switch to American football and spent two years with the London Blitz in the British American Football Association, initially lining up at nose guard before transitioning to the offensive line in his second year. His talent was quickly recognised and he earned a move to the United States, where he was rated as a two-star prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports and ranked as the number 243 offensive tackle in the country.
A college career across multiple programs
Faminu began his college career at the University of Houston before transferring to Temple, where he developed into an important part of the offensive line. He started at multiple positions including left guard, left tackle and right tackle, showing the versatility that coaches value in a lineman. He later moved to UNLV, continuing to gain experience across one of the most competitive levels of American football. His college career also included a Birmingham Bowl appearance, adding a bowl game to his resume.
Coming home to London
Now Faminu returns to the city where his football journey began, joining the London Warriors for their first ever AFLE season. His combination of British roots and American college experience makes him a natural fit for a franchise that is built on exactly that kind of profile.
With Faminu on board, the London Warriors continue to build an offensive line with both local connection and proven college experience ahead of the 2026 season.
