Panthers Wroclaw Win High-Scoring Finale Against Berlin Thunder

102 offensive plays and 40 minutes of possession tell the story of a dominant Panthers performance

Final Score: Panthers Wroclaw at Berlin Thunder – 36:33

A Battle From Start to Finish

This was no walkover. From the opening drive both teams matched each other blow for blow, and neither offense nor defense showed a clear edge in the early going. Berlin’s defense, often a weakness over the course of the season, stepped up when it mattered, forcing multiple turnovers on downs and punts to keep the Panthers from pulling away. It was exactly the kind of send-off the Thunder faithful deserved for their team’s final game of the season.

Second Half Fireworks

The second half cranked up the entertainment even further. Five of nine second half drives ended in touchdowns, turning the closing stages into a genuine shootout and giving both sets of fans plenty to cheer about. In the end though, it was the Panthers who proved the cooler and more efficient side.

Wroclaw Control the Clock

The stat that defined the game was time of possession. The Panthers ran 102 offensive plays and held the ball for around 40 minutes, grinding down the Berlin defense and leaving the Thunder offense with less and less time to respond. Third down conversion was the other decisive factor: Wroclaw converted 15 of 22 attempts compared to just 4 of 10 for Berlin. That efficiency gap was ultimately the difference between the two teams.

Season’s End for the Thunder

For the Berlin Thunder, the season is over. For the Panthers Wroclaw, it is just beginning. They head into the AFLE inaugural season semifinal with momentum, confidence and plenty of belief.
