Paris Lights Reveal Venue for Historic First-Ever Home Game – Free Admission for All Fans
The Paris Lights have announced the venue for their first-ever home game in franchise history. The Complexe Sportif de l’Île-des-Vannes in L’Île-Saint-Denis, just north of Paris, will host the Lights as they welcome the Firenze Red Lions on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM. In an extraordinary gesture, the City of Saint-Ouen has agreed to cover all costs associated with the event, making free admission possible for every fan attending in person.
A venue with a story
The Complexe Sportif de l’Île-des-Vannes is one of the most distinctive sports venues in the Paris region. Opened in 1971 and designed by architects Pierre Chazanoff and Anatole Kopp, the complex was fully renovated for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, serving as a training site for rhythmic gymnastics and athletics. Listed as a cultural heritage landmark of the 20th century, its iconic Grande Nef, shaped like an inverted hull rising from the riverbank of the Seine, provides a truly unique and striking backdrop for this occasion. Located on the southern tip of the Île-Saint-Denis, the venue is easily accessible by public transport from central Paris.
Open to everyone
Moritz Heisler, Managing Director and COO of the AFLE, underlined the significance of the moment: „This game day is more than just a debut, it’s a statement. Thanks to the City of Saint-Ouen, we can throw open the doors to every fan in Paris and beyond. We want the whole city to be part of this moment, free of charge.“
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spot at what promises to be a landmark occasion in Paris Lights and AFLE history.
