Paris Lights sign homegrown running back Chris Voumbo

The Paris Lights have added another homegrown piece to their backfield, signing French running back Chris Voumbo-Yalo ahead of the 2026 season. Voumbo arrives with four seasons of European football experience and something to prove after a difficult 2025 campaign.

A productive career in European football

Voumbo spent four seasons in European football, lining up for the Stuttgart Surge in 2022 before joining the Paris Musketeers for three seasons from 2023 to 2025. Across 34 games he carried the ball 195 times for 977 rushing yards and ten touchdowns, establishing himself as a reliable and productive presence in the backfield. Before his European football career he also built his foundation across several French clubs including the Flash de la Courneuve, Molosses d’Asnières and the Las Rozas Black Demons in Spain.

Motivated to bounce back

After a difficult 2025 season, Voumbo arrives at the Paris Lights with a clear motivation to remind everyone of what he is capable of. That hunger to bounce back and perform at his best makes him an interesting addition to a Paris backfield that is building with ambition heading into the franchise’s debut season.

With Voumbo on board, the Paris Lights continue to add depth and experience to their roster ahead of the 2026 season.
