Paris Lights unveil name and logo for 2026 season
The Paris franchise has officially revealed its team name and logo. Under the name Paris Lights, the organization will enter The League Europe in 2026.
With this announcement, Paris presents its identity to the football world and takes the next step toward its debut season.
A name with meaning
The team introduced itself with powerful words:
“Paris. It’s been shining for centuries. Where ideas are born. Where the world looks. Where the lights come on. Not just a city. A light. That inspires. That draws. That hits. And now, that light steps onto the field. Paris Lights. From Paris, comes the light.”
The name reflects the global image of Paris as the “City of Light.” It stands for inspiration, energy, and impact. Now, that identity will also represent the team on the football field.
A new chapter for football in Paris
With the unveiling of the logo and name, the Paris Lights officially begin their journey toward the 2026 season.
The franchise aims to build a strong foundation both on and off the field. The identity combines tradition, culture, and ambition, connecting the spirit of the city with the physicality and passion of American football.
Homegrown territory and regional identity
As part of the league’s homegrown system, the Paris Lights will recruit Homegrown players from France.
Under AFLE rules, a Homegrown player is defined as an athlete whose first organized tackle football experience took place within the team’s assigned territory and who has completed at least two seasons of organized football there.
For Paris, this means the entire country of France serves as its Homegrown territory. This structure allows the franchise to build around national talent and strengthen football development within the country.

Looking ahead to 2026
With a clear identity, a powerful name, and a defined Homegrown territory, the Paris Lights are taking their first official steps toward The League Europe.
In 2026, the light of Paris will not only shine over the city – it will step onto the field.
