Rams sign homegrown defender Timothy Schürmann
The Alpine Rams have secured one of the strongest homegrown defenders in the country by signing linebacker Timothy Schürmann. With his experience and physical style of play, he is expected to become an important piece of the Rams’ defense.
Proven experience at European level
Schürmann already brings three years of experience at a high level in European football. Over the course of 30 games, he recorded 93 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss, one pass breakup, three forced fumbles, and one fumble return.
His numbers show his ability to play aggressively and make impact plays in key moments.
Leadership and stability for the defense
During his previous seasons, Schürmann played for the Helvetic Mercenaries as well as Rhein Fire. Competing in different systems has helped him develop into a versatile and disciplined linebacker.
The Rams expect him to become a cornerstone of their defense and a leader on the field.
A return to Switzerland
By joining the Alpine Rams, Schürmann returns to his sporting home in Switzerland. He is motivated to help build the new franchise and contribute to a successful start in its first season.
With Timothy Schürmann on the roster, the Rams add strength, experience, and local identity to their defensive unit.
