Fire Make Their Statement Early
Rhein Fire wasted no time making clear how this afternoon would go. Four unanswered scores in the opening stages put Berlin firmly on the back foot, and the Thunder could not cope. The Berlin offense and defense were both overwhelmed in the early going, struggling with efficiency and once again unable to escape the two problems that have haunted them all season: costly penalties and a weak rushing game that makes their offense far too predictable and one-dimensional.
Scott Powers the Fire Ground Game
On the Rhein Fire side, everything clicked. Kenji Bahar orchestrated the passing game effectively while the ground game provided the perfect complement. Jonathan Scott was outstanding in a supporting role, carrying the ball just 12 times but rushing for 58 yards and three touchdowns, a ruthless efficiency that summed up the difference between these two teams on the day.
Cole Lights Up Late
The one bright spot for Berlin came from the man who so often delivers when little else is working. Jon Cole took time to get going but once he did, he reminded everyone exactly why he leads the entire league in both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. A remarkable individual talent in an otherwise difficult afternoon for the Thunder.
Conference Champions
The win moves Rhein Fire to eight victories on the season, a total the London Warriors cannot surpass. With the tiebreaker also in their favour, Rhein Fire are officially the North West Conference Champions.

The Fire travel to Firenze in Week 13 for what should be a comfortable road trip. The Berlin Thunder head to Paris Lights for their final away game of the regular season.
