Starting center Clemens Walz extends with the Vienna Vikings

The Vienna Vikings have secured another important piece for their offense as starting center Clemens Walz will remain with the team. Walz has been the Vikings’ starting center in recent seasons and continues to be a key part of the offensive line.

A key role in the offense

For quarterback Ben Holmes, the extension of Walz is especially important. As the center, Walz is responsible for snapping the football to the quarterback and starting every offensive play.

His consistency and communication on the line help the offense run smoothly and allow the quarterback to receive the ball quickly and in the right position.

Part of the Vikings since 2022

Walz has been part of the Vienna Vikings since 2022. In his first season with the team, he helped the Vikings win the championship and establish themselves as one of the strongest teams in European football.

Success on the international stage

Walz also found success with the Austrian national team. In 2025, he played as the starting center for Austria and helped the team win the IFAF European Championship.

With Clemens Walz staying on the roster, the Vienna Vikings keep an experienced and reliable leader on their offensive line as they prepare for the upcoming season.
