The American Football League Europe Partners with Mallorca Voltors for the AFLE Mallorca Game

The American Football League Europe (AFLE) is proud to announce a partnership with the Mallorca Voltors, the island’s established American football team, to help stage the AFLE Mallorca Game. On August 22, 2026, the London Warriors will take on Rhein Fire at the Estadio Balear in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 PM (CET). Staged under the banner „Battle at the Beach,“ the game marks the first time in AFLE history that a regular season game will be played outside the home stadiums of the competing teams.

The Mallorca Voltors: A Strong Partner on the Ground

To help stage the AFLE Mallorca Game, the league is partnering with the Mallorca Voltors, the American football team based in Palma de Mallorca. Founded in 1987, the club is one of the most established American football organizations in Spain. The Voltors compete in the LNFA (Liga Nacional de Fútbol Americano), Spain’s top American football league, and have long been a fixture of the island’s local sports scene. With their experience, local network, and deep ties to Mallorca’s American football community, the Voltors are a valuable partner in making the AFLE Mallorca Game an authentic and sustainable experience for fans, players, and the local community alike.

A Partnership Rooted in Local Expertise

Staging a game outside its home markets for the first time requires strong local knowledge and community ties, exactly what the Mallorca Voltors bring to the table. As the island’s home-grown American football team, the Voltors provide the AFLE with an established network, on-the-ground expertise, and a genuine connection to Mallorca’s American football community, helping ensure the AFLE Mallorca Game becomes an authentic, well-organized event for fans, players, and partners alike. The collaboration also reflects the AFLE’s broader approach to growth: working closely with existing clubs and communities across Europe rather than simply importing the league into new markets.

Fabienne Lampe, Head of Communications of the AFLE, said: “Partnering with the Mallorca Voltors is essential to making this project possible. Their local knowledge and their community make Mallorca feel like a true home game rather than just a neutral venue, and this collaboration is exactly the model of teamwork we want to build the AFLE around.”

Fernando Toro, Academy Director and Head of Communications of the Mallorca Voltors, added: “We are proud to welcome the AFLE to Mallorca and the part of bringing a game of this magnitude to our island. American football has a long history here, and this partnership lets us show the rest of Europe what our community has built over the years. We’re looking forward to opening our doors, sharing our experience, and helping give fans an unforgettable day at the Estadio Balear.”
