This is the AFLE Gold Bowl trophy
The prize has a face. AFLE has unveiled the Gold Bowl trophy, the silverware that the best team in European American football will lift on September 6 in Duisburg. The race to win it just got a little more real.
Something to play for
Every team that stepped onto the field at the start of the 2026 season did so with the Gold Bowl in mind. Now they can see exactly what they are chasing. The trophy will be handed to the winners of the AFLE Gold Bowl at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg, and with five weeks of regular season football still to play, the competition to be the team that gets to lift it is as intense as it has ever been.
Where things stand
Vienna Vikings are the only team to have clinched a playoff spot and sit on Seed 1 after an unbeaten season so far. Rhein Fire hold Seed 2, Panthers Wroclaw are on Seed 3, and London Warriors currently occupy the fourth and final playoff place on the back of three consecutive wins. Berlin Thunder, Paris Lights, Alpine Rams and Firenze Red Lions are all still mathematically in the hunt for that last spot, though the Red Lions cannot afford to lose against Vienna Vikings in Week 10 if they want to keep their hopes alive.
September 6, Duisburg
The AFLE Gold Bowl takes place on September 6, 2026 at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg. Tickets are available via Eventim and at aflepro.com. Whoever makes it there will be playing for the trophy that is now sitting and waiting for its first ever owner. Eight teams started this season with that goal in mind. Only one will get to call themselves champions.
