Veteran defensive back Exavier Edwards joins Paris Lights
The Paris Lights have signed experienced American defensive back Exavier Edwards, adding leadership and playmaking ability to their defense ahead of the upcoming season.
Experienced career across Europe
At 34 years old, Edwards brings a long and successful career with him. He played college football for Saddleback College and later for Midland University before making the move to Europe.
Over the years, Edwards has played for several teams, including the ODTÜ Falcons, Black Panthers de Thonon, and the New Yorker Lions. He spent a significant part of his career with the Vienna Vikings, where he won a championship and established himself as a key defensive player.
Most recently, Edwards played for the Nordic Storm, where he once again showed his impact on the field before suffering a season-ending injury.
Leadership and playmaking for Paris
Now with the Paris Lights, Edwards is expected to play an important role in the secondary. His experience, football IQ, and ability to make big plays will bring stability to the defense.
The Lights are looking for Edwards to not only perform on the field, but also to lead by example and help guide younger players as the team builds for the season.
