Vikings March On With Dominant Display Against Firenze Red Lions
A relentless rushing attack and a suffocating defense make this one-sided from the start

Final Score: Vienna Vikings at Firenze Red Lions – 68:6
No Contest in Any Phase
The Vienna Vikings delivered a complete performance from start to finish, and the Red Lions simply had no answer for it. Dominant in all three phases, the Vikings produced one of the most impressive displays of the season and kept their unbeaten record firmly intact.
Rushing Game in a Different League
The story of the game was the ground attack. Albert Wiesigstrauch and Johannes Schütz both found the end zone multiple times, running behind an offensive line that was a force of nature in the trenches. The unit allowed just one sack all game and created rushing lanes and time for their backfield at will. Nearly every Viking carry gained positive yards, while Firenze struggled to move the ball at all.
Defense Suffocates the Red Lions
On the other side of the ball, the Vikings defense was equally dominant. Amani Dennis added a pick six to the scoresheet, and the unit as a whole held Firenze to just 36 total yards for the entire game. The Red Lions failed to convert a single one of their ten third down attempts, a number that captures just how completely they were shut out. It was a day to forget for Firenze.
What’s Next
The Vienna Vikings head into their second bye week with plenty to feel good about before a blockbuster Week 12 clash with the Panthers Wroclaw. The Firenze Red Lions stay home to host the Paris Lights.
