AFLE to kick off inaugural season on May 23

The American Football League Europe will officially begin its first season on the weekend of May 23 and 24. With the kickoff date confirmed, the league takes the next major step toward its historic debut year.

After months of structural planning and organizational development, the focus now shifts fully to the field.

A new chapter begins

The opening weekend will mark the beginning of a new era for American football in Europe. The eight founding franchises, Rhein Fire, Vienna Vikings, Berlin Thunder, Wroclaw Panthers, Alpine Rams, Paris Lights, Firenze Red Lions, and the London Football Team, will all compete in the league’s inaugural season.

Together, they represent both established football markets and ambitious new projects across the continent.

May 23 and 24 will not only start the regular season, but also launch the first chapter in AFLE history.
