Alpine Rams strengthen offensive line with Finnish lineman Sampo Leppänen
The Alpine Rams continue to build their roster and have added Finnish offensive lineman Sampo Leppänen to the team. With this signing, the Rams once again show their clear focus on strengthening the offensive line.
Leppänen becomes the fourth E-import on the Rams’ offensive line, underlining the priority that head coach and general manager Joshua Fitzgerald places on protecting the quarterback and building a strong offensive foundation.
Strong experience in Finland
Leppänen spent most of his career in Finland, where he played for the Vantaa Taft from 2014 to 2023. During those years, he developed into a reliable and experienced offensive lineman.
Experience across Europe
In 2024, Leppänen gained his first experience outside of Finland when he joined the Hildesheim Invaders. The following year, he played for both the Helvetic Mercenaries and Rhein Fire.
At both teams, he proved to be a dependable part of the offensive line and showed his ability to compete at a high level in European football.
Building a strong foundation
With the addition of Leppänen, the Alpine Rams continue to invest in protecting their future quarterback and establishing a physical offensive line.
The signing reflects the team’s strategy of building a strong and stable offense as they prepare for the upcoming season.
