Berlin Thunder sign Spanish homegrown offensive lineman Carlos España
The Berlin Thunder have expanded their roster, signing Spanish homegrown offensive lineman Carlos España ahead of the 2026 season. España joins via the Spanish solidarity rule after spending last season with the Madrid Bravos, where he contributed as a backup on the offensive line.
A young talent with room to grow
At just 21 years old, España is one of the younger players on the Thunder roster but arrives with clear potential and the hunger to develop his game further. The Berlin Thunder are giving him the environment and the platform to take the next step in his career and show what he is capable of at a higher level.
The right group to develop alongside
España joins an offensive line group that already has plenty of experience and quality. Alongside Tyrone Brown, Deon Mutsvanemoto, Shadrach Arthur, Christopher Wartenberg and Max Zimmermann, the young Spaniard will have experienced teammates around him to learn from and grow with as the season progresses.
With España on board, the Berlin Thunder continue to build a deep and well-rounded offensive line ahead of the 2026 season.
