British youngster Enrique Aspinall signs with the Alpine Rams

The Alpine Rams continue to build for the future with the signing of young British talent Enrique Aspinall. The versatile athlete is seen as an exciting addition to the roster thanks to his speed, flexibility, and playmaking ability.

Aspinall began his football journey with the South London Renegades before his talent caught the attention of the NFL Academy. There, he developed quickly and improved his overall game. His progress led him to Germany at just 19 years old, where he joined the Straubing Spiders in the German Football League.

Impact in Germany

With the Spiders, Aspinall made an immediate impact, especially in the return game. He recorded 740 total return yards on 23 returns and scored two touchdowns. As a defensive back, he added 28 tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception.

He was also used on offense as a wide receiver and running back, showing his versatility, even if he could not fully display his potential in those roles.

A versatile weapon for the Rams

Aspinall is considered a true multi-position athlete. Alongside his role as a cornerback, he can also contribute as a wide receiver and running back. His speed and agility make him a dangerous option in the return game as well.

At the Alpine Rams, he could take on an important role despite his young age. He is expected to strengthen the defensive backfield while also adding depth and flexibility on offense. Together with players like Devan Burrell, he gives the Rams another dynamic weapon as they prepare for the upcoming season.
