Homegrown wide receiver Hugo Schwartz signs with the Paris Lights
The Paris Lights have signed one of the most talented French receivers available, adding Hugo Schwartz to their wide receiver corps ahead of the 2026 season. The 24-year-old arrives with a strong reputation built over two impressive seasons in the French D1.
A consistent performer in the French D1
Schwartz has been turning heads at the Diables Rouges de Villepinte, where he has consistently been one of the top receivers in the French league. In both the current and previous season he ranked among the top ten receivers in the D1, producing not only yards but also touchdowns on a regular basis. That kind of consistent production across two seasons marks him out as one of the most reliable homegrown receiving options in French football.
A dangerous weapon as a returner
What makes Schwartz even more valuable is his ability as a returner. His speed and agility make him a genuine threat every time he touches the ball, and last season he ranked among the top five returners in the entire French league. That dual threat ability as both a receiver and a returner gives the Paris Lights an explosive weapon in multiple phases of the game.
Joining a talented receiving corps
Schwartz steps into a wide receiver room that is already stacked with talent. He will line up alongside Americans Tristen Wallace and JJ Hopp, both of whom made a significant impact in the Mexican LFA, giving the Paris Lights one of the most exciting receiving groups in the league.
With Schwartz on board, the Paris Lights are building an offense with the firepower to make a real statement in their debut season in 2026.
