Jameson Wang named QB1 of the Wroclaw Panthers

The Wroclaw Panthers have found their starting quarterback for their first season in The League Europe. The team signed American quarterback Jameson Wang to lead the offense in the upcoming year.

Wang brings experience from college football in the United States and from professional football in Europe.

Strong college career at Cornell

Jameson Wang played his college football at Cornell University in NCAA Division I. During his time there, he appeared in 37 games and started 30 of them.

In his college career, Wang threw for 6,959 passing yards, 51 touchdowns, and 31 interceptions. He was known as a true dual-threat quarterback because he could make plays both in the air and on the ground.

In addition to his passing numbers, Wang rushed for 1,816 yards on 424 carries and scored 27 rushing touchdowns. His ability to extend plays and gain yards with his legs made him a constant threat to opposing defenses.

NFL attention

Wang’s performances at Cornell did not go unnoticed. In 2025, he was invited to the Rookie Mini Camp of the NFL team Los Angeles Chargers.

This invitation showed that his talent and potential were recognized at the highest level of football.

Experience in European football

Wang also already has experience in European football. Last season, he played for the Frankfurt Galaxy in the European League of Football.

In five games, he threw for 1,459 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and only four interceptions. He also impressed with his running ability, rushing 49 times for 323 yards and four touchdowns.

His dynamic style of play made him one of the most exciting quarterbacks during his time with the Galaxy.

Panthers find their leader

The Wroclaw Panthers were impressed by Wang’s skills, experience, and leadership qualities. With his strong arm and mobility, he fits well into the team’s offensive plans.

By signing Jameson Wang as their QB1, the Panthers have secured a talented and versatile quarterback to lead them into their first season in The League Europe.
