Paris Lights sign E-import defender Zaire Ugapo

The Paris Lights continue to strengthen their defense with the signing of versatile defender Zaire Ugapo as their first E-import player. The 28-year-old brings international experience and strong performances from several European teams.

Ugapo first learned to play football in Australia with the Tamaki Lightning before making the move to Europe in 2022. His first stop was in the German Football League with the Potsdam Royals.

Experience across European leagues

After his time in Germany, Ugapo continued his career with the Prague Lions and the Hamburg Sea Devils. Most recently, he played for the Wroclaw Panthers.

Even though he joined the Panthers later in the season, Ugapo quickly made an impact and showed his ability to perform at a high level.

Strong production on defense

Over the past three seasons, Ugapo has appeared in 25 games and recorded impressive numbers on defense. During that time, he collected 101 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 13.5 tackles for loss. He also forced three fumbles and recovered one fumble.

His versatility allows him to contribute in multiple roles along the defensive front and in the linebacker group. This flexibility makes him a valuable addition to the Paris Lights defense.

Leadership on and off the field

Beyond his performances on the field, Ugapo is also known for his leadership. He leads by example and brings energy and experience to the team.

With Zaire Ugapo joining the roster, the Paris Lights gain not only a productive defender but also a versatile player who can take on multiple roles and help lead the defense.
