Paris Lights sign linebacker Davidson Larochel

The Paris Lights have added another homegrown player to their roster, signing French linebacker Davidson Larochel ahead of the 2026 season. The 29-year-old brings local experience and a physical presence to the Paris defense.

Familiar with the French football scene

Larochel comes from the French football scene, having played for both the Flash de La Courneuve and the Paris Musketeers. Across his time in the French D1 he has recorded 24 tackles and 0.5 sacks, building a reputation as a reliable and hard-hitting presence at linebacker.

A clear role in the defense

Under defensive coordinator Darion Simmons, Larochel is expected to bring exactly what a good linebacker needs to bring. Hard tackles, pressure on the quarterback and disruption of the opposing running game are the qualities the Paris Lights are looking for from their new signing, and Larochel has shown throughout his career that he can deliver on all three fronts.

With Larochel on board, the Paris Lights continue to add homegrown talent to a defense that is steadily taking shape ahead of their debut season in 2026.
