Veteran offensive lineman Aleksandar Milanovic stays with the Vienna Vikings
The Vienna Vikings have secured an important piece of their roster by extending veteran offensive lineman Aleksandar Milanovic. Over the past years, Milanovic has become a key player for the team and an essential part of the offensive line.
Strong international experience
Milanovic began his football journey at the college level in the United States. He played Division I football at Sacramento State, where he started in every game, before finishing his college career at Adams State University in his senior year.
After his time in the US, the 2.01-meter, 129-kilogram lineman returned to Europe. He gained further experience with teams such as the Helsinki Roosters, where he won the Maple League championship, and the Banja Luka Rebels.
A leader on and off the field
Milanovic later returned to the Vienna Vikings, where he developed into a cornerstone of the offensive line. His performances earned him two All-Star nominations as well as the “Man of Honor of the Year” award.
Although he initially retired at the beginning of 2025, Milanovic made a return later in the season. Now, by staying with the Vikings, he brings not only experience and talent, but also strong leadership to the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
