The first half told the story. Vienna’s offense was sharp and clinical, converting four consecutive touchdown drives to build a 25-point lead and take full control of the game. Ben Holmes was at the heart of it all, finishing with six total touchdowns in another composed performance from the Vikings‘ quarterback.
Rams Closer Than the Score Suggests
The final margin looks comfortable, but the performance gap between these two teams was smaller than 47:25 implies. The Alpine Rams moved the ball well, generating 430 total yards to Vienna’s 567, and Hank Bachmeier once again demonstrated why he has quickly become one of the more dangerous quarterbacks in the league. The problem for the Rams was not generating yards. It was turning them into points, and on a day where the Vikings were so efficient on their own drives, any failure to score proved fatal.

With the game well won, the Vikings were able to rest key contributors and hand playing time to their rotational players in the penultimate regular season game. That kind of experience could prove valuable when the playoffs arrive and squads are tested in ways the regular season cannot always replicate.
