Vienna Vikings sign E-import running back Albert Wiesigstrauch
The Vienna Vikings have signed their next import player, adding German running back Albert Wiesigstrauch to the roster. With this move, the Vikings take a unique approach by using two E-import spots in their running back room.
Alongside Wiesigstrauch, Finnish running back Karri Pajarinen is also part of the roster. Together with homegrown player Johannes Schütz, the Vikings now have a talented, explosive, proven and reliable trio in the backfield.
Champion experience and strong background
Wiesigstrauch played last season for the Stuttgart Surge, where he helped the team win the championship. Before that, he spent three seasons with the Berlin Thunder, gaining valuable experience in the league.
Over the past four years, Wiesigstrauch has played in 36 games. During that time, he recorded 183 carries for 715 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also appeared in four playoff games, adding 126 rushing yards on 35 carries.
Strong addition to the offense
With his experience and production, Wiesigstrauch adds depth and quality to the Vikings’ offense. Together with Pajarinen and Schütz, he is expected to play an important role in the running game and help drive the team’s offensive success in the upcoming season.
