Wang and Harley Put on a Show as Panthers Wroclaw Roll Past London Warriors
Jameson Wang’s perfect passer rating and Mike Harley Jr.’s four touchdown catches headline a dominant Panthers performance
Panthers Set the Tone Early
The Panthers Wroclaw made a statement from the very first series. A quick three-and-out on defense was followed by a touchdown drive on offense, and just like that, Wroclaw had the game exactly where they wanted it. London struggled to get anything going against a physical Panthers defense, and the tone was set before the first quarter was even over.
Wang and Harley: A Connection London Had No Answer For
The Warriors managed to claw back to 13–7 in the second quarter and showed some offensive signs of life, but on the other side of the ball, they simply had no answer for what Wroclaw was doing. Quarterback Jameson Wang finished with a perfect passer rating of 158.3, throwing for 223 yards and four touchdowns, all of them to wide receiver Mike Harley Jr., who hauled in seven catches for 186 yards. Wang also added a rushing touchdown, creating five scores on the day. Homegrown running back Dawid Brzozowski kept the ground game honest throughout, giving London yet another problem they couldn’t solve.
London Shows Heart, But Not Enough
Warriors quarterback Kare Lyles did a decent job under the circumstances, 211 passing yards, three touchdowns, one interception, but with a struggling run game, he became too predictable. Tight end Eden Thiede-Palmer was a bright spot with six catches for 57 yards and two scores, yet it wasn’t enough to turn the tide against a well-rounded Wroclaw squad.
What’s Next
The Panthers Wroclaw head into Week 2 with a marquee home matchup against the Vienna Vikings, a true early-season showdown between two of the league’s best. The London Warriors, meanwhile, travel to Rhein Fire looking to prove they’re capable of more than today’s scoreline suggested.
