A historic weekend for the AFLE

While the London Warriors, Vienna Vikings, Panthers Wroclaw and Berlin Thunder all played in Week 1, the remaining four franchises, the Rhein Fire, Paris Lights, Firenze Red Lions and Alpine Rams, will make their competitive debuts this weekend. By the end of Sunday, every franchise in the AFLE will have played at least one game, completing the first full rotation of the league’s inaugural season.

Paris Lights vs Firenze Red Lions: history in the making

The weekend opens with a piece of history in Paris, where the Lights host the Firenze Red Lions in a game neither franchise will ever forget. Both clubs play their very first competitive game, and the city of Paris is throwing open the doors: every ticket is free as the Lights welcome the whole city to be part of the moment.

Rhein Fire vs London Warriors: bounce-back time

In Duisburg, Rhein Fire make their home debut against a London Warriors side that lost in Week 1 and is determined to prove that result did not define them. The Warriors travel to one of the league’s most established organizations looking to earn their first points in AFLE history.

Panthers Wroclaw vs Vienna Vikings: the first top-of-the-table clash

The headline game of the weekend takes place in Wroclaw, where the Panthers Wroclaw host the Vienna Vikings in a clash between the only two teams who have yet to lose. Both sides won convincingly in Week 1 and neither is willing to give up that record. This is the first real top-of-the-table battle in AFLE history.

Alpine Rams vs Berlin Thunder: fresh starts all around

And in Switzerland, the Alpine Rams write the opening chapter of their franchise story when they host the Berlin Thunder. Berlin come off a difficult Week 1 defeat and need a response. The Rams, playing at home in their first ever game, are ready to show what Swiss football looks like on the biggest stage it has ever had.
