American wide receiver Jon Cole strengthens Berlin Thunder offense
The Berlin Thunder have signed their final American player for the roster with wide receiver Jon Cole. Cole joins the team after an impressive stint in the European League of Football (ELF), where he played for the Fehérvár Enthroners.
Strong season in the ELF
Cole made a big impact with the Enthroners and was named Comeback Player of the Year after returning from an injury in 2024. Despite joining the team later in the season, he quickly became one of the top receivers in the league.
In just nine games, Cole recorded 101 catches for 1,147 receiving yards, making him the third-best receiver in the league in terms of yardage. He also scored 12 touchdowns and proved to be a constant threat for opposing defenses.
Dangerous return game
In addition to his role as a receiver, Cole was also dangerous as a return specialist. He recorded 36 returns for a total of 914 return yards, consistently giving his team strong field position, even though he did not score a return touchdown.
Key weapon for the Thunder offense
With his speed, playmaking ability, and experience in European football, Cole is expected to be a key part of the Berlin Thunder offense. He will form a dangerous connection with quarterback Jakeb Sullivan as the team looks to build a dynamic passing attack for the upcoming season.
