Firenze Red Lions sign Panamanian linebacker Ezra Drakes
The Firenze Red Lions have announced their first defensive player shortly after introducing their new defensive coordinator Tom Mason. Panamanian linebacker Ezra Drakes will strengthen the Red Lions’ linebacker corps for the upcoming The League Europe season.
With this signing, Drakes becomes the third Panamanian player in the league, joining Rhein Fire brothers Jonathan Scott and Desean Scott.
Experience in European football
In recent years, Drakes has played in Europe and gained experience in several leagues. Most recently, he suited up for the Biberach Beavers in the German Football League 2.
Before that, he played for the Fehérvár Enthroners, where he continued to develop as a linebacker and gained valuable playing experience.
College experience in Mexico
Drakes also brings experience from college football in Mexico. He played for the Lobos BUAP, where he developed his skills and prepared for his professional career.
Strengthening the Red Lions defense
With Ezra Drakes joining the roster, the Firenze Red Lions add an athletic and experienced linebacker to their defense. The team hopes that he will bring energy, physicality, and leadership to the linebacker group as the franchise prepares for the upcoming season.
