Firenze Red Lions sign Spanish homegrown Nacho Diz
The Firenze Red Lions have found their second Spanish homegrown player, signing Nacho Diz thanks to the Spanish solidarity rule. Diz follows wide receiver Aaron David as the latest Spanish addition to the Red Lions‘ roster.
A versatile young talent
At just 21 years old, Diz spent the last two seasons with the Madrid Bravos, where he showed his ability to contribute in multiple positions. While primarily a linebacker, he has also seen action as a tight end and fullback, making him one of the more versatile players available in the Spanish player pool. That flexibility gives the Red Lions plenty of options when it comes to how they use him on the field.
Room to grow in Florence
Joining the Firenze Red Lions presents Diz with a real opportunity to step into a bigger role and accelerate his development. At 21, he is still at the very beginning of his career and has enormous potential to grow. The Red Lions are not just signing a player who can contribute in multiple positions, they are signing a hungry young talent who is eager to prove himself and show what he is capable of at the highest level of European football.
With Diz now on board, the Firenze Red Lions continue to make smart use of the Spanish solidarity rule as they build a deep and versatile roster ahead of their debut season in 2026.
