Austrian veteran Philipp Haun joins the Vienna Vikings

The Vienna Vikings have added another talented wide receiver to their roster by signing Austrian veteran Philipp Haun. The 31-year-old receiver joins the Vikings after spending the last four seasons with the Raiders Tirol.

With this move, Haun switches from one of the Vikings’ biggest rivals to the team in the Austrian capital.

Proven production in Tirol

During his time with the Raiders Tirol, Haun was a consistent and reliable part of the offense. Over four seasons, he appeared in every game for the Raiders and played a total of 49 games.

In those games, he recorded 164 receptions for 2,101 yards and 18 touchdowns, proving himself as one of the experienced receivers in Austrian football.

Strengthening an already talented receiver group

With his arrival in Vienna, Haun joins a strong and talented wide receiver group. The Vikings already feature American receiver Darrell Stewart Jr. as well as the Austrian duo of Yannick Mayr and Noah Touré.

For the Vikings offense, this signing gives the quarterback Ben Holmes another reliable target and adds experience to the receiving corps as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
