Berlin Thunder sign former Rutgers defensive back Kessawn Abraham

Berlin Thunder have strengthened their defense by signing American defensive back Kessawn Abraham. With this move, Abraham becomes the second American defensive player and the second A-import on the Thunder roster.

College career at Rutgers

Abraham played college football at Rutgers University, where he spent five seasons developing as a defensive back. During his time with the Scarlet Knights, he appeared in 51 games and recorded 64 tackles, four tackles for loss, and 10 pass deflections.

His experience at the NCAA level helped him develop into a physical and disciplined defender in the secondary.

Strengthening the Thunder secondary

In Berlin, Abraham will join a defensive backfield that already features American Will Johnson III and Canadian Kosi Onyeka. Together, the three import players are expected to form a strong and aggressive secondary for the Thunder defense.

The presence of three import players in the defensive backfield also shows the clear focus of the Thunder coaching staff: building a defense that puts strong emphasis on pass coverage and limiting opposing passing attacks.
