Spanish wide receiver Eduardo Pérez signs with the Wroclaw Panthers
The Wroclaw Panthers have signed their first Spanish homegrown player. Wide receiver Eduardo Pérez joins the Panthers ahead of the 2026 season, bringing versatility and ELF experience to the roster.
The Spanish solidarity rule
Pérez’s signing is made possible by the Spanish solidarity rule, which allows AFLE franchises to sign players from the Madrid Bravos‘ active roster as homegrown players following the Bravos‘ sporting withdrawal ahead of 2026. The Panthers were quick to take advantage and secured the 23-year-old as their first Spanish addition.
Experience in Spanish football
Pérez spent the last two seasons with the Madrid Bravos after previously playing for the Barcelona Dragons. At both clubs he primarily operated as a backup wide receiver, but it is his versatility that makes him stand out. Pérez is capable of lining up not only as a wide receiver but also as a running back, giving coaches plenty of options when putting together their game plans.
Adding depth in two positions
That versatility will be valuable in Wroclaw. Pérez will add depth to the wide receiver room alongside American Mike Harley Jr., while also strengthening the running back group around homegrown back Dawid Brzozowski. A player who can contribute in multiple positions is always a welcome addition to any roster.
With Pérez on board, the Wroclaw Panthers continue to build a well-rounded squad ahead of their 2026 campaign.
